SUMMARY:Rue Oberkampf
DESCRIPTION:Rue Oberkampf präsentiert mit «Wehmut» ihr persönlichstes A
lbum\, das Darkwave mit organischen Klanglandschaften vereint. Backline is
  excited to present:\nRUE OBERKAMPF (Darkwave\, Electonica / DE)\nRue Ober
kampf are opening a new chapter.\nTheir new album Wehmut will be released
on October 15\, 2026 via Young and Cold Records. It is the\nband’s most
personal and atmospheric work to date – an invitation to step away from
the sensory\noverload of an increasingly digitalised world and to lose you
rself in mysticism\, nature and longing.\nWhile Oliver Maier and Julia de
Jouy have been known primarily for harder-hitting Darkwave tracks\nsuch as
“Glycine” and “Solitude”\, Wehmut takes a quieter turn. The band
combines their signature\nsynthesizers with organic soundscapes. The album
’s six carefully crafted tracks draw the listener into\nanother world. I
nfluences from Post Metal and Dark Folk blend naturally into the band’s
established\nsound. For the first time\, an acoustic guitar also finds its
place within this sonic universe. On Wehmut\,\nJulia de Jouy’s voice re
veals more facets than ever before\, unfolding a particular depth through
finely\ntuned mixing and mastering.\n\nThe idea for Wehmut grew from a des
ire to reconnect with something primal in an increasingly\ndigitalised age
. Hikes through the Bavarian Forest and a solitary journey aboard a contai
ner ship on\nrough seas became key sources of inspiration for the album.\n
\nOver the past ten years\, Rue Oberkampf have built an international repu
tation for their hypnotic\,\naudiovisual live shows. Sound\, light and mov
ement merge into an intense\, immersive pull. From\nOctober 2026\, the ban
d will bring Wehmut to stages across Germany\, followed by international\n
appearances in 2027.\n\nSupport tba.\nVeranstalter: Jonathan Schenker Bild
